Governor Muhammadu Inuwa of Gombe state along with other APC Governors, under the auspices of Progressives Governors Forum have paid Sallah homage on President Muhammadu Buhari at his country home in Daura, Katsina State.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued to newsmen by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Isma’ila Uba Misilli.
The Governors were led on the visit by the Chairman of Progressives Governors’ Forum, and Governor of Kebbi state, Sen. Atiku Bagudu.
The meeting which held behind closed doors, also had as its agenda governance and party matters and need to strengthen synergy between the Federal and state governments.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya in an interview with newsmen, emphasized his administration’s support for the policies and programmes of the Buhari led administration.
He said, he joined his colleagues on the visit to the ancient city of Daura to identify with Mr. President and reassured him of the support and solidarity of the Government and people of Gombe state.
While at the palace of Emir of Daura, Alhaji Farouk Umar Farouk, Governor Yahaya recalled the historical bond between Gombe and Daura Emirates and said he was there as a mark of honour to strengthen such relationship.
The Emir of Daura Alh. Farouk Umar Farouk who appreciated the visit by the Governor, also prayed Allah to grant him success as he leads the affairs of Gombe State.
