Taraba State Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Peter Gambo has called on the Federal Government to take civil servants welfare Paramount
Gambo made the call at the opening ceremony of International Nurse’s Week in Jalingo on Tuesday at the Nurse’s House,, stressing the need for government at all levels to take the welfare of civil servants serious.
He noted that Workers nationwide have been neglected, describing it as an error and lack of value for their welfare.
“We must see the welfare of Workers as a necessary thing to be considered, and the attitudeof sabotaging the welfare of Workers is Corruption”, he said.
He also appealed to the FG to be passionate enough towards implementing the N30,000.00 Minimum Wage agreed for Nigerian Workers.
The Labour Boss also lamented at the delay in implementing Minimum Wage in the State, added that the bill that was signed into law in April this year, must not pass through further delays.
On Nigerian Nurses, Comrade Peter Gambo called on the government and people of the state to always value nurses and their services of saving lives.
He pointed out that if Nurses were not valued, the potentials in them will not be effectively harnessed.
