The Bauchi State House of Assembly to Collaborate with relevant Health Care Service providers to enhance effective Healthcare delivery in the State.
The Speaker Abubakar Sulaiman made the disclosure when Advocacy Co Group on maternal, newborn and child healthcare services paid him a courtesy call at the Assembly Complex.
Sulaiman noted that the Assembly members would transmit the message of the group to all the crannies of the State through the various Constituency engagements.
He expressed appreciation to the government for selecting eminent traditional and religious leaders to be part of the advocacy and promised to lias with them at all times.
The Speaker emphasized the Importance of maternal and Child Health Services in the development of any Community assuring that the House of Assembly would do everything within its reach to assist the group realise its objectives, and the Secretary house committee for health Nuhu Tama has been nominated to serve as member in the group.
Earlier, the Co Chairman of the group retired Grand Khadi Abdullahi Marafa said they were in the Assembly as part of their Advocacy effort to ensure total Compliance to health Care Services in the State.
According to Marafa, said presently they are operating in eleven local government areas in the State where such advocacy is taking place for mobilisation and public enlightenment to teaming families, where he said a lot have been achieved in family health, exclusive breast feeding, maternal mortality, newborn and Child health Care Services.
He urged the Speaker and other members of the Assembly for their continuous support and cooperation and provide necessary laws for making their work easier in the state.
