Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state has been described as a man of integrity, kind and unbiased leader who has a listen ear to the plights of his people.
The commendation was made by the Chairman, Taraba State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Hamman Adama in interview with our Correspondent in Jalingo, the state capital.
He said, the Governor had done a lot in the area of security, infrastructure, agriculture, education and health as well as women and youths empowerment through his rescue mission agenda for the state.
“He is a gentleman who listens to his people irrespective of whatever difference, be it religion, tribal or ethnic, that is to tell you the kind of an unbiased leader that God has blessed us with,” he said.
He also commended the Governor for given the Board the necessary support needed all the time, adding that as part of his kind of good governance, the state government sponsored 280 Muslims to perform this year’s Hajj from the state.
According to Hamman Adama: “it is on record that Taraba is one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria despite the fact that there are some areas that are having communal clashes in which the Governor and security operatives are doing everything possible in curbing the problem”.
While congratulating the Governor who just turned 65-years-old, the Chairman expresses optimism that the second term Governor Ishaku will more good and continuation of the developmental work he had embarked on to take the state to a greater height.
Alhaji Hamman Adama also commended the Wife of the Governor Barr. Anah Darius whom through her pet project Hope Afresh Foundation, empowered thousands of women and youths in the state.
“She has done a lot to ensure development of the people of the state. Her projects and programs has complemented the government’s effort in creating job for women and youth through skills acquisition among so many other things.
She recently provided artificial limbs for about 5000 amputees and even people from other states have benefitted, so this is commendable,” he said.
